هواشناسان پیش بینی می کنند هنوز هم خطر توفان هایی که می توانند به گردباد تبدیل شوند وجود دارد

چند گردباد شدید در آمریکا به مرگ دست کم ۲۷ نفر در ایالت های ایندیانا، اوهایو و کنتاکی منجر شد.

پلیس محلی تایید کرده که ۱۳ نفر در مناطق مختلف ایالت ایندیانا کشته شده اند.

۵ نفر در ایالت کنتاکی و دو نفر نیز در ایالت اوهایو جان خود را بر اثر گردبادهای شدید از دست داده اند.

میچ دنیلز فرماندار ایندیانا گفته: " ما قدرت برابری با خشم طبیعت را نداریم."

قرار است آقای دنیلز روز شنبه از مناطق خسارت دیده بازدید کند.

اوایل روز جمعه گردباد در ایالت آلاباما نیز باعث به خانه های زیادی خسارت زد و به مجروح شدن ۵ نفر منجر شد.

اولین تلفات روز جمعه از هنریویل در ایندیانا بود که گردباد در آن خسارات سنگینی به جا گذاشته است. در این منطقه گردباد سقف یک دبیرستان را از جا کنده است.

در نزدیکی مامفوردویل در کنتاکی، ممفیس ایندیانا و جنوب اوهایو گزارش های دیگری از گردباد رسیده است.

این آژانس در بیانیه ای جدی به مردم ایندیانا هشدار داد آنها که در مسیر گردباد قرار دارند با شرایطی بسیار خطرناک مواجهند و باید بلافاصله پناه بگیرند.

اوایل این هفته ۱۳ نفر در اثر گردبادی دیگر که میزوری، کانزاس، ایلینوی و تنسی را درنوردیده بود جان خود را از دست دادند.
